The Centurion Lounge is an exclusive collection of lounges for Platinum and Centurion cardholders.
As one of the few credit card providers, American Express has its own lounges worldwide. As a Platinum or Centurion cardholder, you get access to the Centurion Lounges that American Express has to offer you.
We visited the Centurion Lounge at London Heathrow during our trip to New York.

Food and drink
We visited the lounge at London Heathrow after arriving from New York. While there, we visited the Centurion Lounge at JFK.
The food and drinks are better than we see at JFK. It should be added that the food is changed just as we arrive, from breakfast to lunch. So we see food stations just being replenished, which always looks tasty.
The selection is wide. From olives, tomatoes, various cheeses, hummus and other spreads to several types of bread, egg dishes and desserts with fruit. Both the healthy eater and the sweet tooth come into their own here.

Something for everyone
The Centurion lounge has several areas where you can take a seat. These include a bar, meeting room, quiet areas to sit with your laptop, call areas and normal seating.
At the bar you will find a variety of (spirits) drinks. Like the lounge at JFK, this bar looks modern and sleek. The dark colours give it a luxurious feel.
You can order beers on tap or from the bottle, and various red and white wines and spirits are also available. At the time we visited the lounge, it was early, so we skip the drinks and stick to a modest lunch
The call rooms and meeting rooms are enclosed and provide plenty of privacy. In the common areas, you will also find special chairs that ensure privacy, low noise and a great working posture.

Shower and toilet
Showers and toilets are also available in the lounge, on a first come first served basis. We had no immediate need for a shower, so we skipped it.
The toilets are otherwise tidy as you would expect.
