What is Priority Pass
You can think of Priority Pass as a subscription to airport lounge access. Worldwide, there are more than 1,500 lounges affiliated with the Priority Pass program that you, as a member, can access during your trip.

Another way to use Priority Pass is through American Express. As a cardholder of the American Express Platinum Credit Card, you receive a free membership gift. This applies to both the main card and the additional card you can apply for. As a Priority Pass member through American Express, you can also bring a guest into the lounge for free.

What stands out is that each of the subscriptions charges money if you want to bring a guest into the lounge. As indicated, the subscription you receive through American Express allows you to bring a guest for free. Both on the main and extra platinum card subscriptions.
Priority Pass Lounges
Worldwide, there are more than 1,500 lounges you can access through your Priority Pass membership. Through the website, you can easily search for the country, city or airport you are departing from.
The advantage of Priority pass is that you do not need status or to buy an (expensive) Business Class ticket to gain access to the airport lounge. Your Priority Pass membership gives you access to affiliated airport lounges – regardless of which airline you fly with.
Priority Pass App
Have you downloaded the Priority Pass app? Then you can also easily search for lounges during your journey. You can see at a glance in which terminal a lounge can be found and approximately where to find it.
You will also find an impression and overview of the facilities available, such as showers, alcoholic drinks, sleeping areas and more.
Find airport lounges
Another way to find airport lounges (during your trip) is by using LoungeBuddy. LoungeBuddy is not an alternative to Priority Pass, but it does help you make the most of Priority Pass.
Through its website, but especially app, Lounge buddy offers a simple overview of available lounges at an airport. Whereas via Priority Pass you will only find the Priority Pass-connected apps, via Lounge buddy you will find all lounges that are available.
The advantage of this is that there are also lounge where you can buy access separately – similar to the Standard subscription – or lounges you might receive access to because you have status with an alliance or through your credit card.
