Ambassador Lounge Changi T3 Seat

Ambassador Transit Lounge Terminal 3

The Ambassador Lounge at Changi Airport in Terminal 3 is better than it initially seems.

During one of my trips to Indonesia, I traveled with Saudia Airlines and had a stopover at Changi Airport, the airport of Singapore. On both my outbound and return flights, I have access to the Ambassador Lounge in Terminal 3.

Although I found the lounge lacking during my first visit, this impression changed during my second visit, and I came to appreciate the lounge in some respects. Why? You can read about it in this review.

Ambassador Lounge

The Ambassador Lounge is one of the many lounges at Changi Airport. In each terminal, you will find lounges where you can enter if you have status with, for example, Krisflyer, but there are also lounges where you gain access via LoungeKey or Priority Pass.

The Ambassador Lounge is located in Terminal 3 and is aimed at Priority Pass, LoungeKey, and DragonPass. You can also purchase access to the lounge through various packages. The lounge features seating and workspaces, offers food and drink, and provides space to shower.

Access to Ambassador Lounge Changi T3

You can gain access to the Ambassador Lounge in several ways. I personally have access via Priority Pass from American Express, but you also gain access via LoungeKey, DragonPass, and Diners Club.

If you don’t have any of these memberships, you can also purchase access to the lounge.

  • Priority Pass
I personally have Priority Pass via American Express. With Priority Pass, you gain access to the lounge.
  • LoungeKey / DragonPass and Diners Club
You also gain access to the lounge via LoungeKey, DragonPass, and Diners Club. Conditions depend on your membership.
  • Purchase access
You can also purchase access. There are various packages starting from S$20 for a one-hour visit, but then you cannot use the shower. If you want to shower, you pay at least S$68 (approximately 45 euros).

Location of Ambassador Lounge Changi T3

You will find the lounge in Terminal 3 on the third floor. Take the escalator to the butterfly garden – near the cinema – and find the lounge at the top of the escalator on your right.

To the right of the lounge, you will also find the Ambassador hotel.

Food & Drink Ambassador Lounge Changi

As I was very full from the food during the flight both times, I did not have any food or drink in the lounge.

The food and drink did not look very special either, but for completeness, I did take some photos.

Working at Changi Airport

In the lounge, you will find a number of enclosed cubicle seats on the right side where you can sit and work comfortably. The internet in the lounge is also lightning fast, reaching 320 Mbps for me.

Do keep in mind that the wifi network is public. So use a VPN – such as NordVPN – to keep your connection secure.

Toilet & showers Ambassador Lounge

The lounge has a number of showers and toilets. There is no distinction between men’s and women’s toilets.

The shower is neat but not equipped with amenities such as a toothbrush and shaving kit. However, there is shampoo and shower gel, and of course, a clean towel. It’s not standard for a Priority Pass lounge to have showers anyway.

The lounge has a total of 12 showers, and during my visit, many of them were available.

The toilets are otherwise fine and clean.

Nap Room

I couldn’t discover the room myself, but the website of the Ambassador Lounge indicates that there is also a nap room. Whether this is included in your visit or if you always have to book it separately (S$15.00, incl. shower) I cannot say with certainty.

Conclusion Ambassador Lounge Changi T3

Initially, I was very sceptical about the Ambassador Lounge at Changi Airport, but during my second visit, that impression was reversed.

The lounge offers nice showers and decent – clean – toilets. Food and drink that are not special but seem fine and lightning-fast internet if you need to get some work done.

If you’re looking for a Priority Lounge for your layover at Changi Airport in Terminal 3, then the Ambassador Lounge is a good choice.
