Air France Salon Lounge 2E Hall K View

Air France Salon Lounge

The Air France Salon in Terminal 2E – Hall K is one of the older lounges at Charles De Gaulle and it shows.

At the time of writing this review (February 2025), I have been to the Paris airport (Charles De Gaulle – Paris CDG) 38 times. Yet I still cannot get used to the airport. It is big, cluttered and the naming of the terminals lacks any logic.

On my transfer to Istanbul, I got to enter the Salon lounge, in Terminal 2E – Hall K. In this review, I’d like to tell you about my experience in this Air France Salon Lounge.

Air France Lounge Paris CDG Terminal 2e

The Air France Salon Lounge in Terminal 2E – Hall K is located below the ground floor, in the basement you might say. The route to it is anything but charming, as you have to pass the toilets with a staircase two floors down.

At least, there is an alternative. In fact, just before the stairs is a lift that also takes you down. Must say, the lift is very small and very slow. A small diversion by stairs is faster than waiting for the lift.

The lounge itself consists of two parts – left and right – with one of the two parts consisting of two floors.

Both sides have a kitchen where you can grab hot or cold food and the necessary (soft) drinks depending on the time of day.

There are also several seating areas, quiet rooms where you can take a power nap and facilities such as showers are also available.

Location Air France Salon lounge Terminal 2E Hall K

You will find the lounge in the middle of the shopping area near gates K21 to K58. The lounge is signposted at the lift and with a sign towards the stairs.

Lounge access Air France Lounge

You can enter the Air France Salon lounge in a number of ways and that is by status or a business or First class ticket with Air France or another Skyteam partner.

  • Flying Blue lounge access
Do you fly with a Skyteam partner (e.g. air France, KLM, Delta, etc) and have Gold or Platinum status with Flying Blue? Then you may enter the lounge.
  • Business Class ticket with lounge access
Have you booked a Business Class ticket with lounge access with Air France or another Skyteam partner? Then you may also enter this lounge.

Food and drink Air France Lounge

In general, the food in Air France lounges is not very good. The exception to this rule, by the way, is the lounge in Terminal 2F.

The food in this Salon Lounge is not of high quality either. The burgers are dry, the salad tasteless, the sandwiches are rock hard and the hot dishes are also not inviting or simply not tasty.

In terms of drinks, it is better in order, although it is a pity that not all empty bottles of wine are replaced with new ones. With that, you reach the point where the white wine you’re drinking runs out, and I don’t think that’s appropriate in a lounge.

Shower and toilet

Showers and toilets are both available in the lounge. The showers are widely available and neat. The toilets also look fine, although you can see that they have already reached a certain age 🙂

Clarins Spa Air France Salon Lounge

The Salon Lounge has a Clarins Spa, but at the time I visit the lounge, it is closed. Again, for a lounge in the international area, that’s a no-go in my experience.

Quiet room Salon Lounge

In one of the sections of the lounge – upon entering on the right side, in the back – a quiet area has been created where you can take rest on long chairs or small sleeper sofas between your flights.

Working at Paris airport

Working in the lounge is fine. You can use the lounge’s Wi-Fi network as well as your mobile hotspot, since you are still in Europe.

The lounge has also created a number of places where you can sit with a laptop just fine. For instance, there are dedicated bars on the first floor on the left side of the lounge where you can work.

Make sure that if you use the lounge’s public Wi-Fi network, you secure your connection via a VPN service such as NordVPN, for example.

Conclusion Air France Lounge Terminal 2E – Hall K

It is somewhat strange that a lot of attention is being paid in Paris to a new lounge in the Schengen area (Air France Lounge 2F). This is a very pleasant lounge and the food here is fine.

That the international area (Terminal 2E Hall K) contains a dated lounge that lags behind in terms of food, drinks and appearance is unfortunate.
