Privium Schiphol

You can think of Privium as a service for which you take out a membership. There are currently two ways to do this. One way is to take out a subscription directly through Privium. You then pay an annual fee varying between €180 and €305 per year.
Another way to use Privium is through American Express. As a cardholder of the American Express Platinum Credit Card, you get two memberships for free. The advantage to the membership via American Express is that you can also bring a guest – a friend – into the Privium Lounge(s).
Privium memberships
Privium itself has two memberships. Privium Basic and Privium Plus. On the website, you will also find a Privium Partner subscription, but that only applies if you are travelling with someone who has Privium. In that case, you might as well opt for Privium Basic. You’ll find the main differences below.

If you apply for your Privium membership via American Express, you will get Privium Plus membership twice for free.
Rapid Border Passage
One of the advantages of Privium is fast border passage at Schiphol Airport. Once you have signed up for Privium, you will receive an invitation to drop by the lounge at Schiphol. You can easily complete your registration there the first time.
As soon as you arrive in the lounge for the first time, you will be taken for a passport check and scan of your iris. This combination is stored on a personal Privium Pass. You will need this pass to go through the Privium gates at Schiphol.
As soon as you hold your Privium pass against the reading at the gates, you can walk through for an (iris) scan. Once this is OK, you can simply walk through. You can compare this to the passport scan at European airports, but just a bit faster.
Security
Privium not only helps you pass the border passage faster at Schiphol Airport, it also helps at security (checking your hand luggage). There, too, is a separate queue – both Schengen and intercontinental – for Privium members. You then enter a separate queue to go through security.
Privium Lounges
Privium membership also includes access to the Privium Lounges. These are Privium lounges at Schiphol before and after security and access to the Aspire Lounge at Eindhoven Airport and the Prima Vista Lounge at Rotterdam The Hague Airport.

Privium: frequently asked questions
Can I convert my Partner pass to my own pass?
If you want to convert your partner pass to your own, you will need your own season ticket. This can be done through Privium or, for example, through the benefits of an American Express card. The conversion itself is quick and can be done at the lounge. All you need is your old pass and your passport. At the counter, they will then print a new pass.
How can I replace my pass?
If your pass is worn out or you want a new one for some other reason, you can easily get a new one printed at the counter. It takes just a few minutes. All you need is your old pass and your passport.
How expensive is Privium
You receive Privium for free with an American Express credit card. A separate subscription to Privium costs between €180 a year and €350 a year.

Is food free in the Privium Lounge
Yes. Food and drinks are free of charge in Privium Lounges. In all lounges, food and drinks are usually free unless otherwise stated.
