Carlsberg Lounge Kopenhagen Entrance

Carlsberg Aviator Lounge Copenhagen

The Carlsberg Aviator Lounge is a great lounge for Priority Pass members.

Carlsberg Aviator Lounge Copenhagen

To maintain my status with Flying Blue, I am flying to Istanbul via a small diversion. My journey goes from Amsterdam to Copenhagen, Helsinki, Stockholm and via Paris to Istanbul. During my stopover in Copenhagen, I have time to visit the Carlsberg Lounge, the Aspire Lounge, and the SAS Lounge.

In this review, I’d like to take you through my experience of the Carlsberg lounge, which I visit with my Priority Pass.

Access Carlsberg Lounge Copenhagen

I get access to the Carlsberg Aviator Lounge in Copenhagen through Priority Pass membership in this case. If you want more information about Priority Pass, you can read this page. You receive Priority Pass for free with an American Express Platinum Credit Card.

Furthermore, you get access in the following ways:

  • Priority Pass
You get access to the Carlsberg lounge with a Priority Pass membership.
  • Loungekey
As a Loungekey member, you also get access to the Carlsberg Aviator Lounge
  • Airlines
If you have status or are flying a Business Class flight with Air France, KLM, Luxair or any of the airlines pictured below, you will also get access to the lounge.

Location Carlsberg Lounge Copenhagen

The Carlsberg Aviator lounge is located at the A Gates on the first floor above all the shops and restaurants. You can easily recognize the lounge by the glass walls, which are clearly marked with ‘Carlsberg Aviator Lounge’.

Food and drink Carlsberg Lounge Copenhagen

The food and drinks in the lounge are disappointing. I have visited the lounge more often in the past and in my experience it was better, so whether it is because I have seen several lounges in the meantime and can therefore compare better I do not know, but the offer is sparse.

You can choose from fruit, pasta or salad and snacks. There are also rice cakes and crackers and it runs out quickly.

In terms of drinks, you can choose from water, soft drinks or juices, coffee and tea. If you fancy something stronger, you can choose from wine, spirits or – of course – Carlsberg on tap.

Working at Copenhagen Airport

The lounge has excellent space to work, and there is plenty of that around me. Wifi is available in the lounge, but you can also use your hotspot within Europe, at no extra cost.

If you do use the lounge’s public Wi-Fi network, don’t forget to secure your connection via a VPN.

Shower & toilet Carlsberg Lounge Copenhagen

I can be brief here: the lounge does not currently have its own toilets. If you want to go to the toilet, you have to leave the lounge and use the general area of the airport. As a lounge visitor, I think this is a bad thing.

Although a sign indicates this is due to renovation, it can be found on the internet that this has been the case for quite some time.

Conclusion Carlsberg Lounge Copenhagen

Although the lounge is inviting in terms of appearance, this time it cannot convince me. The food and drink on offer is sparse and because you get access with all kinds of memberships, the lounge is very crowded. Having to leave the lounge to use the toilet is a major inconvenience.

If you have access to the SAS lounge with, for example, your status with Skyteam / Flying blue, that’s your best bet. Do you only have a Priority Pass? Then the Carlsberg lounge does beat the Aspire lounge.
